Eighty-six members from seven units of the Pune province came to Don Bosco, Karjat on October 2, 2024, for AFJM Day 2024. After breakfast and registration, Juellyn, the lay Province animator, welcomed the group, followed by a prayer led by Angel Fernandes from St. Anne\u2019s, Colaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Anthony Santarita, SDB, welcomed us to Don Bosco Yuva Centre and provided an overview of the place and the work that the Salesians do in Karjat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sr. Sylvia, our Province-charge, clearly explained the significant theme for the day: \u201cPilgrims of Hope.\u201d This was followed by an extremely   informative session on the Jubilee year led by Fr Cletus which certainly had a great impact on all the members present. He provided an excellent explanation of the Pilgrims of Home prayer, highlighting the significance of our faith during this special time. Fr. Cletus effectively emphasized the importance of self-awareness in our spiritual journey, introducing useful acronyms such as EGO, HOPE, FAITH, and AFJM. His insights and engaging presentation style created a beautiful and motivating experience for attendees. The choice of Fr. Cletus as the speaker was commendable, as he adeptly explained the symbols of the Jubilee and the Prayer, leaving a lasting impression. The session was not only informative but also uplifting, encouraging participants to reflect on their spiritual posture. Overall, the talk and sermon were well received, and there is a strong invitation for Fr. Cletus to return for future events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Eucharist, twelve new members made their commitments while others renewed theirs. After lunch, the units split into their respective groups for discussions and to evaluate the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
